Kim, Pham injuries add salt to wound as Padres get swept by Cubs

The Padres are beat. Figuratively and literally.

After winning 13 of their past 16 heading into their series with Chicago, the Padres dropped all three in Wrigley, getting swept for the first time since their first series against the Brewers in late April.

The Friars entered last night’s 6-1 loss to the Cubs without Fernando Tatis Jr. (oblique tightness) and were already without Trent Grisham. By the time the game was over, they had also lost Ha-Seong Kim and Tommy Pham, both of whom left after colliding into each other in the outfield. As of now, Kim is believed to be fine without serious injury, but Pham may miss some real time after he needed to receive stitches around his jaw.
