Kennedy allowed six runs in six innings, though just one was earned, in the Padres' 6-0 loss at AT&T Park.
But the Padres' starting pitcher wasn't about it let it ruin his month, or the progress that he's made since a slow start to the season.
It was Posey's grand slam, his second in five days, that sidetracked Kennedy (4-6), who allowed five hits with four walks, two in that fitful third inning.
"I feel like even up to that, I was making good pitches. My fastball command was good. But that's a big blow for us [Posey grand slam]," Kennedy said.
