Kevin Acee is reporting Peter Seidler’s brother, John, will be taking over as the Padres control person once approved by Major League Baseball.

The 65-year-old has been part of San Diego’s ownership group since 2012 and will be replacing interim control person Eric Kutsenda, who is expected to remain in the organization.

Once John is approved and speaks to the media, it will be bring clarity to the fan base—something that we’ve been waiting for since Peter’s passing.
