Padres to start rotation from top out of break

ARLINGTON -- The Padres will start their pitching rotation from the top after the All-Star break and try to keep the routine as normal as possible, Padres interim manager Pat Murphy said Sunday.

James Shields (7-3, 4.01 ERA) will start Friday to open a three-game series against Colorado. Then the team will send out Tyson Ross, Andrew Cashner, Ian Kennedy and Odrisamer Despaigne.
