Padres right fielder and home run leader Hunter Renfroe said his sprained right ankle is “feeling better” and he “should be able to play this trip.”
The Padres second-to-last road swing of the season begins Friday with the first of three games in Colorado and concludes with four games in Milwaukee.
Renfroe has not played since Saturday, hasn’t started since Sept. 4 and has not been himself for most of the past two months.
He had previously declined to elaborate on what has ailed him in the second half of the season and still doesn’t divulge specifics.
