Giron had hit "only" .286 (10-for-35) with two homers, three steals, four RBIs and eight runs scored in his nine starts previous to Friday night, dropping his batting average to .380 in the 25 games since he joined Fort Wayne from extended spring training.
Friday's game raised Giron's batting average back to .398. He has a .451 on-base percentage and a .660 slugging percentage for a 1.112 OPS.
