The Padres made it 7 in a row this spring, beating the Chicago White Sox 3-1 yesterday at Camelback Ranch. Despite making contact throughout the game, the offense just couldn’t bring much around to score. Fortunately, they didn’t need to, not with the Sheriff on the the mound.
RHP Chris Paddack became the first Padre pitcher to go beyond 2 innings of work this spring, throwing 3 scoreless innings while needing only 16 pitches (12 for strikes) to get the job done. Paddack gave up 2 H, 1 BB, and got 1 K (which you see above), before he came out to let the bullpen get their work in.
