In a 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks, the Padres were again searching for offense even after finally scoring at Petco Park. Some of that had to do with right-hander Zack Greinke, who is 6-1 with a 1.64 ERA in 13 career starts against San Diego.
Only Milt Pappas has a lower ERA (1.61) all-time against the Padres, who are riding a four-game losing streak into today's game.

- INF Alexi Amarista is 7-for-15 since being recalled on Sunday and has hit safely in four of his five games in the majors.
