The Padres' season-best five-game win streak came to a screeching halt Tuesday, with Giants rookie Chris Heston flirting with a second no-hitter in a 9-3 loss (the bullpen gave up all of San Diego's runs). Melvin Upton Jr. broke up that bid with a broken-bat single to open the sixth, saving the Padres the disgrace of suffering a fourth no-no at the hands of a San Francisco hurler.
