Though no longer a member of the San Diego Padres and getting ready to embark on his first year managing the rival Los Angeles Dodgers, Dave Roberts was inducted this week into the San Diego Hall of Champions with several other San Diego sports stars as reported by MJ Acosta of NBC7.

Roberts starred at Rancho Buena Vista High School, and he was inducted along with Patrick Henry high school alums Ricky Williams and Paul Vaden. Roberts played with the Padres for two seasons in 2005-6 following his famous 2004 stint with the Red Sox.
