For essentially the same underlying reason, this season progressed from can’t wait for it to start to can’t wait for it to end.
“We all expected to win more games,” catcher Austin Hedges said Thursday morning. “… There’s definitely a fire for everybody to move into the offseason to prepare for a season we’ve got to win next year.”
