The Padres have been one of, if not, the most-active club this offseason in an attempt to finally get over the massive hump that is their divisional rival, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In the past 30 days, the team has acquired a trio of pitchers in Yu Darvish (Cubs), Blake Snell (Rays), and Joe Musgrove (Pirates). Along with those studs, they also acquired former Cubs catcher Victor Caratini, who is also quite promising as a prospect.
ESPN MLB analyst Jesse Rogers, when asked about his “winner” of the 2020-2021 offseason up to this point, pointed straight to San Diego.
