Jacob Nix had a pretty bad day. He only retired seven Dodgers before getting pulled, and in that time he allowed nearly as many runs. He got off to a bad start when Joc Pederson sent his second pitch of the night over the right field fence, and it only got worse from there.
Chris Taylor started the third with a single, and a Rich Hill bunt put him in scoring position. Pederson’s second hit of the night put runners on the corners with one out, and Justin Turner cleared the bases with a double.
