GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Avisail Garcia homered and John Danks pitched six scoreless innings to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 6-1 victory over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday.
Garcia's homer was his third of the spring and was the only hit off Drew Pomeranz. The San Diego starter pitched four innings. He walked one, hit a batter and struck out four.
Garcia drove in another run against Casey Janssen with a hard single off third baseman Yangervis Solarte's glove in the fifth inning.
