Give Tony Gwynn Jr. a listen. He’s easy on the ears.
He doesn’t act like he’s paid by the word. He knows baseball but doesn’t beat you over the head with it. He plays well with others.
As a ballplayer Gwynn was fun to watch in the outfield because he was comfortable at all three spots.
Versatility like his, was rare.
Consider that his dad won five Gold Gloves in right field but said his son was better, in comparison, in both left and center field.
