Ken Caminiti and Ted Williams will be inducted posthumously into the Padres Hall of Fame this summer, the club announced Thursday.
Williams, a San Diego native, played for the Pacific Coast League Padres before he had a Baseball Hall of Fame career with the Boston Red Sox. His induction ceremony will take place July 1 in conjunction with the grand opening of the Padres Hall of Fame, located behind the left-field seating area at Petco Park.
Williams will be honored both for his time as a member of the PCL Padres in 1936 and 1937 and for his lifetime contributions to baseball.
