Highlight: Padres pitcher Chris Young made his first All-Star team after getting elected as the NL representative in the Final Vote. Young was hung with the loss after giving up a two-run homer to Suzuki in the fifth inning, giving the AL a 2-1 lead. A solo homer by Carl Crawford in the sixth and a two-run homer by Victor Martinez in the eighth provided the AL with a 5-2 advantage.
