Highlight: The AL built a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning boosted by three no-hit innings by Stone. Tommy John didn’t allow a hit in the fourth, either, and was two outs through the fifth when Griffey hit a solo homer. The NL added two more runs in the sixth for a 3-2 lead and gained an insurance run in the seventh on a wild pitch by Dave Stieb.
