Luis Patino came to the Padres in July of 2016 after signing with the team as an international free agent. His first professional seasons were spent with both the Dominican Summer League Padres and the Arizona League Padres back in 2017. Between both clubs, Patino finished with a 4-2 record in 13 games with an ERA of 2.25.
The Colombian-native then spent the 2018 campaign with the Class A Fort Wayne TinCaps where he put together an impressive 6-3 record on the back of a 2.16 ERA in 17 starts.
In 2019, Patino began the season with the Lake Elsinore Storm before being promoted to the Double-A Amarillo Sod Poodles in August of that year.
