The San Diego Padres have been looking for a spark to get their season back on track, and manager Bud Black was asked if the team would go to a six-man rotation when Dillon Gee returns to try and create that spark.
“I won't say we won't talk about it, but we'll see if at that point we feel as though we have six quality major league pitchers,” he said before comparing San Diego's situation with the New York Mets. “It's worth conversation, but I think every situation, every team, is unique in that regard. You can probably dissect the Mets' situation and understand why they are doing it.”
