SAN ANTONIO – Wizards guard Gary Neal made the rounds of his former Spurs teammates before leaving the AT&T Center court Wednesday night.
“I just wished them the best of luck,” said Neal, who played three seasons for the Spurs from 2010-13. “I’ve been through a lot of battles with those guys: Tim (Duncan), Tony (Parker) and Manu Ginobili. You want those guys to succeed and you want their success to continue…When I’m not playing them, I’m a Spurs fan. I want them to win.
“So that’s basically what I told them, good luck and give your best to your family for me and stuff like that.
