OKLAHOMA CITY — Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has run through all kinds of combinations with his big men so far in the series with Oklahoma City. The one constant in all of his frontcourt lineups: LaMarcus Aldridge.
“We get to sub a lot, except LaMarcus,” forward Boris Diaw said. “It’s rough on him because he’s playing a lot of minutes. But everybody else is kind of rotating, so we’re staying fresh.”
In the past two games against the Thunder, Aldridge has been on the floor for 87 of an available 96 minutes. They have been rigorous minutes, too, with Aldridge asked to bang with OKC big men Steven Adams, Serge Ibaka and Enes Kanter.
