With the twilight of his career fast approaching, free agent power forward David West is reportedly eager to go out a winner.
West, 34, has “serious” interest in joining either the Spurs or Golden State, according to USA Today’s Sam Amick.
The Spurs, of course, are focusing all their current attention on Aldridge, who is expected to meet this morning with the last of the seven teams pursuing him. There is no word on how long Aldridge will take to make a decision.
It isn’t clear whether West would be a fallback option if their pursuit of Aldridge fails, or if West would be willing to take what little resources the Spurs would have left should the Portland All-Star jump ship.
