It was not the way that Parker wanted to end his career in international play as he and France fell to Spain 92-67 on Wednesday night. The Spaniards jumped out to a 15-8 lead and did not trail the rest of the way as Les Bleus could not contain their offensive onslaught on one end of the court or match it at the other.
During the game, Parker mentioned he felt that his team was playing against one he
knows so well, his NBA team, San Antonio Spurs.
“I felt like Spain was the Spurs tonight, and I was on the other side,” Parker said following France’s quarterfinals defeat.
