Not that it’s a surprise, but Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News has reported Tim Duncan will return to the court for his 19th NBA season — a season during which he’ll turn 40 years old come playoff time.
We’ve been expecting this news for quite some time, especially amidst reports Duncan was in Los Angeles in the team’s meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge. The old man was unbelievable during the 2014-15 season, and has somehow been able to play at an All-Star level as a 39-year-old — something few have been able to do before him.
