Yesterday we talked about the first round draft picks from 2016-2020. But what about the second round?
As mentioned, the Spurs traded away their second round pick in 2016 for Ray McCallum. Ray stayed the season 2015-2016 but was waived along with Rasual Butler to make room for Andre Miller and Kevin Martin. The Spurs hoped to add experience to their roster and made a last push before Tim Duncan’s retirement. The actual player drafted in the 59th spot (by the Sacramento Kings) was Isaiah Cousins. He never played in the NBA but has consistently suited up in the G-League, France, Israel, and Greece.
