It’s been quite a while, but some may recall back in July 2021, it was announced that AT&T would not renew its contract as naming-rights sponsor for the San Antonio Spurs, and as a result the AT&T Center would have a different name by the 2022-23 season. The season starts in just six days, and the Spurs are still playing at the “AT&T Center”, so what happened?
As it turns out, the Spurs are still on the hunt for a new naming rights partner, and as a result their contract with AT&T has been extended through the 2022-23 season.
