LaMarcus Aldridge was officially introduced as a San Antonio Spur on Friday, and he did what any newcomer to a team with a history this rich should, even one with four All-Star selections and a career scoring average of nearly 20 points.
He paid respect to the past, and said he can only be himself.
“It’s an honor to even be in this organization,” Aldridge said. “To even be in that (company) feels good. I’m not trying to be Tim Duncan or David Robinson. Those guys are rare. They only come around once every 20 years.”
