Summer League over for Spurs’ Kyle Anderson

LAS VEGAS — Kyle Anderson’s work here is done.

The Spurs sent the third-year forward home after two dominating games in Las Vegas and three in the Utah Summer League. He won’t play in the Spurs’ matchup against Chicago at Cox Pavilion.

A year after winning league MVP honors in Vegas, Anderson averaged 18.5 points and six rebounds in a pair of Spurs victories to open this year’s event. Before coming to Las Vegas, Anderson averaged a league-best 23.7 points in three games in Salt Lake City.

“To me, he was the best player in summer league,” Spurs summer coach Becky Hammon said.
