Following the recent win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, one of the first things Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich did was compliment Kyle Anderson.
The 23-year-old finished with a four-point, four-rebound, two-steal performance last week in the 103-74 victory. Those may not be earthshattering stats, but mix in some effort on defense and not making a ton of mistakes, Popovich felt Anderson’s play was worthy of his praise.
“I really enjoyed watching him play,” said Popovich. “He was really solid at both ends of the court. It’s a good basketball team for a young kid to play like that.
