The Warriors were without two of their best players, but that didn’t make the win any less sweet as the Spurs, led by LaMarcus Aldridge’s tough and gritty performance beat them in the AT&T center. They had a great defensive performance, and limited the damage from Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson while no one else on the Warriors team except Quinn Cook was able to do much on offense. Rudy Gay looked healthy and provided scoring punch for the Silver and Black and the team played one of their best game of the year as the Warriors fought their way back into the game late, but the Spurs repelled the surge with shutdown defense in the last two minutes.
