As was leaked earlier this year, the Spurs will indeed sport a new black version of their logo alternate jerseys, with the new design officially released on Thursday.
Officially known as the Black Signature Spur uniform, it’s a different take on the popular silver logo alternates that were originally released in 2012 as the first jerseys in NBA history without any lettering or additional design.
The jerseys will be worn for the first time in the home opener on Oct. 30 against Brooklyn, and “multiple times” throughout the season after that.
The black alternates join a crowded lineup that includes the traditional home whites and road blacks, the aforementioned silver alternates, camouflage alternates and a yet-to-be-revealed Christmas Day alternates that have already been leaked.
