The Spurs will open the 2015-16 season at Oklahoma City on Oct. 28, the Express-News has confirmed.
The Oklahoman originally reported that the Spurs will pit their reshaped roster, highlighted by big-money free agent LaMarcus Alridge, against their I-35 rivals to begin the latest campaign.
It will mark only the second time since 2006 that the Spurs have opened on the road.
NBA teams have yet to see a finalized version of this season’s schedule.
The Spurs and Oklahoma City, which was decimated by injuries and missed the 2015 playoffs, are expected to be among the league’s top contenders this season.
