DALLAS – Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said Friday he expects guard Manu Ginobili to recover fully from the rare testicular surgery he underwent Thursday.
Popovich reiterated that Ginobili is expected to be sidelined for at least a month. Asked how Ginobili’s spirits were after the freak injury and surgery, Popovich said, “As one would expect, he’d rather be playing.”
Ginobili crumpled to the court in pain after taking a Ryan Anderson knee to the groin in Wednesday’s win over New Orlean. The Spurs are clearly still struggling to come to grips with something none of them have ever had to deal with.
