TORONTO — Spurs guard Jonathon Simmons is out tonight in Toronto, courtesy of a sore right wrist suffered in a spill Monday night in Brooklyn.
Simmons suffered the injury in the second half of the Spurs’ 112-86 win over the Nets when he took a hard foul while attempting a layup and fell awkwardly.
“I’m usually careful about not falling on my wrist,” the high-flying Simmons said. “This one happened too fast.”
Tests taken after the game revealed a minor sprain. Simmons sat in the pregame locker room Tuesday night with a brace on his upper right arm.
