The Spurs have signed guard Andre Miller and waived guard Ray McCallum, the team announced Monday.
Miller, 39, is a 17-year NBA veteran who ranks ninth in NBA history in assists (8,495). He averaged 3.4 points on 62.1% and 2.2 assists in 10.8 minutes a game with Minnesota, before being waived by the Timberwolves on Feb. 25.
The 6-foot-3 Miller will give the Spurs a veteran guard while Manu Ginobili remains sidelined after having testicular surgery.
Miller, who was drafted by Cleveland in 1999 as the eighth overall pick, has played for eight teams, including the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver, Philadelphia, Portland, Washington and Sacramento.
