The San Antonio Spurs enter the 2018 offseason with more questions than ever in this run under head coach Gregg Popovich. It stems on Kawhi Leonard, who has been part of rumors since January, due to a fractured relationship with the organization on his quadriceps injury rehab.
The future remains unknown for Leonard, and nothing has pointed towards a requested trade — yet. That may change if his group gets what it wants.
According to a report from ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne and Michael C. Wright, the Spurs are concerned that Leonard’s “group” has tried to “fray” the relationship between the player and organization, with the hope of a trade to Los Angeles, New York or Philadelphia — three of the NBA’s largest markets.
