OAKLAND, Calif. — The Spurs opened the season with a bang Tuesday night, stunning Golden State 129-1oo at Oracle Arena. Here are a few statistical tidbits from that game, courtesy of the fine folks in the Spurs’ PR department:
- The Spurs’ 29-point margin of victory marked the most lopsided season-opening victory on the road in club history. It was the second-largest opening-night win regardless of location, trailing only the 140-99 victory over Dallas to start the 1991-92 campaign.
- It was the Warriors’ largest loss at home, in any game, since dropping a 130-97 decision against the Los Angeles Lakers in November 2009, early in Stephen Curry’s rookie season.
