Just when you thought the San Antonio Spurs were done making moves, they make another one. The Spurs traded a future second-round pick to Sacramento for Ray McCallum. The 24-year old guard has spent his two seasons with the Kings.
Last year McCallum averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 assists. As a starter, his numbers jumped up to 11.2 points and 4.3 assists in 30 starts. McCallum was a nice replacement for the injured Darren Collison. As a starter he shot 45% from the field and only committed 1.7 turnovers.
It appears that McCallum will take Cory Joseph‘s role.
