SAN ANTONIO – Turner analysts Kevin McHale and Reggie Miller both noted the Spurs enter the playoffs without their trademark good-to-great ball movement, a flaw that could be exploited by the defensive-minded Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs.
“They are not playing their best basketball come playoff time,” Miller said on a conference call Thursday to promote TNT’s playoff coverage. “They played OK (down the stretch), they just haven’t played great…The ball movement has not been there like we are use to seeing from the Spurs.”
Miller said he’s not saying the Spurs will get upset by Memphis, although he later suggested it could happen.
