LAS VEGAS — The Tim Duncan era ended Monday. The Livio Jean-Charles era begins today.
The Spurs’ first-round draft choice in 2013, Jean-Charles has been cleared to play for the Spurs’ Summer Leaguers tonight against Chicago in Las Vegas. The 22-year-old forward sat out the Spurs’ first two games in Sin City while awaiting insurance paperwork to clear.
The Spurs’ are still finalizing an NBA contract that would bring Jean-Charles over from France this season. He has played each of the past four years with ASVEL, the French League team owned by Spurs point guard Tony Parker.
