NEW ORLEANS – Spurs legend David Robinson said he will be on the look out for creativity when he serves as one of the judges for the slam dunk contest at All-Star Saturday Night.
“You feel like a lot of the old usual dunks have been done, so you like to see guys thinking about it, putting some prep time into their routine,” Robinson said. “Showmanship is also part of it. You have to get the crowd excited. If they can draw (the fans) into it, I give them extra points for that.”
But Robinson quickly added that he won’t be a “tough judge.
