Spurs’ Game 7 comeback falls just short against Nuggets

If ever the Spurs have lived up to their reputation as a nearly unstoppable machine forever shuffling forward, unrelenting and unremorseful, this game 7 was it. They should’ve been out of it after the 1st quarter, in which they managed just 13 points. And they should’ve been out of it at halftime, with only 34 points on the board.

But despite starting the game stone cold from every spot on the floor, they just kept putting one foot in front of the other, determined to keep fighting. And fight they did. After going into halftime down by 13, the Spurs won both the 3rd and 4th quarters, scratching and clawing their way back into the game on the strength of little more than sheer will.
