DALLAS — The Spurs’ first round opponent is set.
Golden State’s history-making 73rd victory, 125-104 late Wednesday night over Memphis, assured the second-seeded Spurs will draw the injury riddled Grizzlies in the playoff opener.
Game 1 will be either Saturday or Sunday at the AT&T Center.
The draw couldn’t be more favorable for the Spurs. The Grizzlies have been wrecked by injury during the latter part of the season, with All-Star center Marc Gasol and starting point guard Mike Conley out for the season.
With a roster padded with players on 10-day contracts — including former Spurs guard Ray McCallum — Memphis closed the season losing 14 of its final 17 games.
