The Spurs officially unveiled one former Minnesota Timberwolf on Tuesday in Andre Miller. Could they be poised to soon add another?
As recently as the weekend, shooting guard Kevin Martin appeared positioned to land his own contract buyout in Minnesota. Reports tagged the Spurs as a frontrunner to sign him once he hit free agency.
Might that still happen?
Maybe. Possibly. Could be. But there might be a snag, and there is definitely a deadline.
Martin, 33, has until 11 p.m. central to reach a buyout agreement and get himself waived. All players remaining on an NBA roster after that time become ineligible to play for another team in the playoffs.
