SAN ANTONIO – Point guard Tony Parker will be sidelined in Phoenix when the Spurs face the Suns on Thursday night due to a sore right hip, the Spurs announced Wednesday.
The club did not release a timetable for Parker’s return. The Spurs (36-6) face the Lakers in Los Angeles on Friday before playing at the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors on Monday in a Western Conference showdown that could easily be the most watched game in the league this season.
Over 39 games this season, Parker is averaging 12.8 points, 5.2 assists and 0.9 steals.
