The Spurs lost the crispness of execution and consistency that buoyed them to consecutive wins against the Buck and the Celtics in the last week, and ended up losing to a hungry Grizzlies team, led by super rookie Ja Morant, who led the team with 14 assists and a million watts of energy. DeMar DeRozan had his best game of the season, and tried to carry the Silver and Black to a win on his back, but he didn’t get enough help from the rest of the team as defensive lapses and turnovers let the Grizzlies take over the game late.
