San Antonio Spurs: Watch Kyle Anderson’s ironically-slow buzzer-beater

When Kyle Anderson hurt his knee in early December, it potentially looked like a long-term situation for this San Antonio Spurs forward, given how much pain he appeared to be in. However, with a sprained left MCL, Anderson received a two-to-three week timetable to return, making it possible for him to come back before Christmas.

It was just that, as the UCLA product returned on Wednesday, Dec. 20 vs. the Portland Trail Blazers. For the first time this season, he didn’t start, even with Kawhi Leonard‘s injury-management absence. Anderson recorded 5 points and 6 rebounds.

On Thursday, the 24-year-old played in the second of a back-to-back, unlike how head coach Gregg Popovich rolled out players that suffered multi-week (or multi-month) injuries.
