San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich’s comments on politics have created headlines in 2017, all of which surrounded the President of the United States, Donald Trump. Popovich recently called Trump a “soulless coward.”
These political comments drew the attention of Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who also had political ties in the offseason (Trump revoked the Warriors’ White House invitation after winning the 2017 NBA Finals). According to ESPN.com, he would “truly” vote for Popovich if he ran for president.
“I truly would vote for Pop. He would make a great president,” Kerr said Wednesday.
