San Antonio Spurs plan to sit Kawhi Leonard with stomach flu

SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Spurs announced they plan to hold out Kawhi Leonard from Monday night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers, as he recovers from a bout with stomach flu.

The severity of Leonard's condition wasn't disclosed, but it's expected that Leonard will return to the lineup Wednesday.

Leonard had 15 points in the team's win Saturday over the Boston Celtics, coming off a career night Thursday in which the forward connected on a career-best 7-of-9 from 3-point range, including 6-of-7 in the second half for a game-high 27 points in a victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.
